VISION
We inspire curiosity, independence and a life-long love of learning to help our children become contributing members of our community and the world.
MISSION
In a nurturing and play-based environment, we use the internationally acclaimed High/Scope curriculum to build children’s self-esteem and problem solving skills, while fostering respect for themselves and others.
VALUES
Child-focused. All activities, play/work spaces and materials are developmentally appropriate and support active learning for children. Our high teacher-to-child ratio supports personalized learning and development outcomes for our children.
Whole-Child Development. We foster all aspects of children’s growth and development including problem-solving skills, empathy and respect, independence, language, social development, self-esteem and confidence.
Professionalism. We invest in our staff to provide the highest quality environment through extensive and on-going training and professional development. Our volunteer, parent-run board of directors represents a wide variety of professional backgrounds and perspectives.
Accessibility. We strive to provide a welcoming environment and will diligently work to accommodate the unique needs of every child, provide financial assistance, and give other support to our children and families.
Transparency. We strive to have open, respectful and transparent communication between all members of the school community.
We are fiscally responsible, socially aware and environmentally conscious in all that we do.
Sustainable. We are fiscally responsible, socially aware and environmentally conscious in all that we do.
Community. We are a pillar of Edgemont Village and the North Shore community. Our children, educators, and parents foster strong relationships to actively support the school.
