The benefits of music and movement are well demonstrated in the Early Childhood Education literature. Studies indicate a positive correlation between music participation and memory, reasoning, language and math development and other key developmental milestones. Children naturally like to move and sing in the early years of their lives.

We are very excited about a new music program with Ryan Sloan that will continue throughout the remainder of this school year. Highlands Preschool has always incorporated music into our curriculum. However, we will now expand and deepen the musical experience for all our children by giving all classes and age groups regular (2 times/month) 30 min sessions with an experienced and creative Early Childhood Educator and musician.
