Highlands Board of Directors
Highlands Preschool is a non-profit society administered by a volunteer parent board of directors and professional executive director. Members hold their positions for two years at which time new members are elected at the AGM in September. Individuals interested in joining the board are asked to contact the Parent Liaison Officer.
A NOTE FROM THE DESK OF OUR NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:
I am delighted to be a part of Highlands Preschool and look forward to helping to maintain the high quality of teaching and learning that takes place at our school.
I have been in the field of Early Childhood Education for over thirty years and have an ECE, IT and Special Needs license to practice. Before coming here, I have worked in a variety of capacities in group licensed daycare, preschool and special needs programs as well as in overseas International schools. For the past sixteen years I have owned and operated group licensed daycare facilities on the North Shore. I am very interested in advances in the field of early childhood care and education and am continuing my studies toward the ECCE Degree at Capilano University. I look forward to the opportunity to participate in the early years of your child’s development.
